Jasmin Aguilar | Studio Director, Tattoo Artist & Co-owner – The Hidden Rose NYC
Jasmin Aguilar is the co-owner and Studio Director of The Hidden Rose NYC, where she helps shape the studio’s vision, culture, and client experience. Born in the Bronx and raised near Arthur Avenue, Jasmin has been drawing and painting since early childhood, developing a lifelong connection to art rooted in imagination, nature, and storytelling.
Her creative background spans graphite illustration, watercolor, millinery, and small-scale sculpture, with artistic influences ranging from Bob Ross and Brian Froud to Jim Henson and Boris Vallejo. Time spent exploring the Bronx Zoo and Botanical Gardens continues to inform her love of animal life, botanicals, and organic forms found throughout her work.
In addition to her artistic practice, Jasmin brings over 20 years of managerial experience to the studio. She oversees day-to-day operations, client communication, scheduling, and overall studio flow—ensuring a calm, organized, and welcoming environment for both clients and artists. Her role bridges creativity and structure, allowing the studio to operate with intention and professionalism.
Jasmin is also expanding her tattoo practice through workshops and apprenticeships with respected artists she has connected with throughout her career. Alongside the studio, she curates and showcases her creative work through Once Upon a Dream, her independent art and merchandise line. A selection of her artwork and products is available in-studio, allowing clients to engage with her creative world beyond tattooing.
