Rework Story: Rebuilding a Religious Half-Sleeve

Not every old tattoo needs to disappear. Some just need to be finished properly.

This client's praying hands half sleeve had faded soft and flat over the years. The meaning still mattered to him, but the execution didn't do it justice. We rebuilt the arm into a detailed black and grey Jesus portrait with the depth, contrast, and structure the original never had. Same meaning, elevated craft.

What is the difference between a cover-up and a rework? A cover-up replaces a tattoo you no longer want. A rework keeps the subject you love and rebuilds it with stronger linework, shading, and composition. Faded tattoos are often ideal rework candidates because the light ink accepts new work easily.
